Play-Based Learning,

Social-Emotional Development, and

STEM Exploration

Through LEGO.

Not Your Average Maths is thrilled to introduce an exciting new service: Play-Based Learning sessions using LEGO!

In these engaging sessions, students have the opportunity to hang out with Luka, diving into a world of creativity and exploration. As they play with LEGO or share their current special interests, Luka skillfully incorporates lessons in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and SEL (social-emotional learning).

Through hands-on experiences, students learn valuable social and emotional skills, problem-solving techniques, and scientific concepts—all while having a blast! For instance, as they construct towering LEGO structures, Luka encourages them to ponder questions like, “What happens if you make the tower even taller? Why do you think that is?” This interactive approach not only makes learning fun but also fosters critical thinking.

The best part? Each session includes a generous supply of LEGO that children can take home with them, ensuring that the learning and fun continue beyond the classroom!

With this innovative program, Not Your Average Maths is committed to making education a joyful experience for every child.

Frequently Asked
Questions.

How Does it Work?

Once you sign up, you'll receive an invoice for the upcoming term's sessions along with a form to select the LEGO sets you'd like to receive. After payment is completed, we’ll dispatch your chosen sets within three working days, and then the excitement begins!

Each session will occur at the frequency you’ve selected, providing a wonderful opportunity to connect, chat, and discover something new if you or your child wish to! While the sessions are inspired by LEGO, building during our time together is encouraged but not mandatory. The focus is on creating a fun and engaging learning experience tailored to individual interests and needs.

What if I/my child doesn't want to come to their session?

That's completely okay!

We understand that sometimes children may not feel up to attending. If possible, please let us know in advance. With more than 24 hours' notice, we can often reschedule the session for another time during the week.

However, due to our tight schedule, we typically cannot offer refunds for booked sessions. If you have any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We're here to work together to find a solution that meets everyone's needs!

How much LEGO do we get?

The amount of LEGO included depends on the specific sets chosen, but typically, you can expect a value of around $150 to $175.

If you're interested in getting more LEGO, just let us know!

Please note that a larger item cost may apply for additional sets. We're here to help you find the perfect fit for your needs!

Do you offer sessions for adults?

Absolutely!

Our adult LEGO-inspired coaching sessions help to reduce isolation and improve dexterity, fine motor, and problem solving skills, using a shared interest in LEGO as a jumping-off point.
